Do you want to be recognized as one of the best?
Colleges have many ways to identify and reward good students. Here are two of the most common:
Dean’s List: The Dean’s List is an honor that you can earn each semester. Some colleges insist on a certain minimum number of credit hours taken, with a grade point average (GPA) of approximately 3.4 and above. This can vary by college.
President’s Honor Roll: The President’s Honor Roll is like a Dean’s List on steroids. This may require both a minimum number of credit hours and an earned A in each class for a 4.0 GPA in that semester. This is also earned by the semester.
One of the best characteristics about Dean’s List and President’s Honor Roll is that you earn them on a one-semester basis. Have a great semester? You can get one of these awards. Have a difficult semester? It’s only one semester, and you can earn the awards again next semester!
Don’t forget to add these awards to your resume as you enter the workforce!
Student Success Strategy #14: Earn Honors. Be recognized for your hard work.
